Compotent Protection
Any used component that is requested to be adapted must have a receipt and proof of purchase. Any part that needs CP removed has its VCRN checked online to the main server before it is unlocked and allowed to be adapted and coded to the vehicle. If this item comes from a VIN that has been reported as stolen, it will be highlighted and rejected. This will also get reported to the authorities. As this is a major risk to our account being suspended we will not accept any parts without receipts from reputable sources. With a high increase in stolen cars brings a higher risk of stolen parts being sold. 

Certain parts which have immobiliser security (not limited to virtual cockpits, instrument clusters, BCM 2) will require an application form sent off to the brands headquarters in Germany to be reviewed and approved. This means on the first connection to the vehicle, it will read the data and give us an application for which gets emailed requesting approval to be fitted to the VIN. Once approved it can then be installed and coded to the vehicle. These security items have a higher cost due to the time involved, server and used part request application fee.

Used Parts
If the used part you researched and sourced did not fix your original problem, this is not a fault of ours and our fees are still applicable. We incur online server and used part request fees so we can not waive our fees if the component you have purchased has not fixed your original issue. 

Research fee
We often get asked about custom modifications and retrofits. This can take up a fair amount of time to review everything that is needed such as hardware and software configurations, identify the correct parts, get prices and more. When we present the customer with the prices of all the items required and installation costs, we often do not hear back from them.
To help us better spend our time more efficiently, we may ask for a research deposit fee to be paid up front before we start researching certain things.  If the customer then wants to proceed, this deposit is then taken off the final invoice.
